Element stiffness before cracking occurs and crack initiation with drucker-prager

Hi,
I'm looking for some more information concerning the element stiffness before cracking occurs.
I use the drucker-prager material model for compression and the multi-directional-fixed crack model with tension softening. Here, only the post-crack behavior can be described. So the given E-Modul for compression should be used also in pre-cracking tension!?
My tensile strains are much higher than they should be, but why?
